welcome to the
BabyText Program
**We are not enrolling new participants at this time.**

WHAT'S INVOLVED?
Answering questions online or by telephone, two video chat meetings and receiving text messages every 2 days for 3-6 months.
Participation is voluntary.
Treatment, individualized care, and crisis support are not offered in this study. Text messages are automated and similar to using a self-help book. If you are experiencing a crisis or need immediate care, please call 9-1-1 or visit your nearest hospital.

The baby blues happen 3-7 days after giving birth and last less than 2 weeks. If you're not sleeping or eating well or having problems with your mood or thoughts, seek help from others.
Creating a healthy reality for you and your baby is affected by your activities, your thoughts, and your contact with others.
What kinds of things can you do today that will prepare your baby for the future?

text messages

"Bringing to consciousness what you are feeling . . . sometimes one does not think about it, instead we are
focused on the baby . . . when I read the message, I thought of myself as a mother and person, and not just
in the baby."
"It was helpful to get reminders for myself when I wasn’t doing things or thinking of doing something for
myself."
" Thank you very much for all your support, I am very grateful for the advice you have given me…it has served me a lot. "
